Below you will find how to properly submit artwork for production.
All artwork should be uploaded on our artwork upload page. If your artwork is larger than 10mb, please email us a link. Artwork may also be emailed to us at email@example.com.
Nature of Copy: Client is responsible for obtaining permission from all owners of copyright, trademark, service mark, etc. and must be able to substantiate all claims and representations. Client must sign a copyright release form when providing their own artwork.
Rights of Ownership: Above The Rest Promotions retains “All Rights of Ownership” for all artwork created by our staff and/or our affiliates. The artwork “Reproduction Rights” for the purpose(s) stated on the order confirmation, is assigned only after payment in full has been received. Client must contact Above The Rest Promotions to obtain the “Reproduction Rights” to use the artwork design created for any purpose other than the purpose(s) originally stipulated. An additional fee may apply. Above The Rest Promotions reserves the right to use completed projects for the purpose of marketing and advertising.
Graphic Design: Standard Design (Sketches, Creations, Layouts, Revisions, etc.) services (turnaround around time up to 72 hours) are $60.00 per hour billed in 15 minute increments. Next Day Design* services (turnaround around time 24 hours) are billed at the rate of $90.00 per hour. Same Day Design* services (turnaround around time 6-8 hours) are billed at the rate of $120 per hour. *Not available for all projects.
Color Matches: If client does not request a PMS color match, Above The Rest Promotions can not accept responsibility for any color discrepancies. We do our best to matchPMS colors, however we can only guarantee an “as close as possible”, acceptable match. Please note, PMS color matching is not always available and is not guaranteed to be exact.
Proofs: Are highly recommended. Pricing varies and may take up to 72 Hours. Delays in responding to a proof may result in longer production schedules. Proofs are sent via email once art has been completed.
Artwork Errors: Client must sign a “Proof Approval” prior to production. It is the responsibility of the client to check proofs carefully for accuracy in all respects. Client must sign a “Waiver of Responsibility for Art Errors” if proofs are not necessary. Above The Rest Promotions is not responsible or liable for artwork errors.
Artwork Cancellation: There is a 40% charge if canceled during the initial sketch stage, 60% if canceled after completion of the sketch stage, and 100% if canceled after the final design has been completed.
Artwork Requirements: When supplying artwork, a template and/or spec sheet will be provided. If artwork requirements are not met additional charges may apply and will be billed accordingly.
Camera-Ready Art Requirements: Black and white line art must be sharp, clean, crisp, and at 1200dpi (if 1200 dpi is not available, at least 600 dpi). The absolute minimum is 350dpi. For multi-color artwork, color separated artwork with registration marks are required. A color composite must be included. Laser Prints, Inkjet Prints, and Film Positives or Negatives are NOT acceptable.
Computer Generated Vector Artwork Requirements: Preferred Programs for Vector Artwork
- Adobe Illustrator (saved as .AI, .EPS, .PDF)
- Adobe Photoshop (saved as .PSD, .TIFF)
- Adobe InDesign (Save As .INDD)
Please convert all text to curves, outlines or paths. If future changes to the text will be necessary, the original font file must be supplied with the art file. All design elements in the file must meet the supplier’s published minimums for line thickness. Failure to do so may compromise the final imprint quality.
Computer Generated Raster Artwork Requirements: All Raster elements and art files must be 100% to actual size or larger and must be at least 600 dpi. Logos off websites (usually 72dpi) are NOT acceptable. If a size is not requested, we will maximize and center the graphic on the product. The size o the graphic will be shown on your proof.
Photographs: Must be originals or high resolution (at least 600 dpi) scans from originals.
Layouts: Specific instructions concerning the layout and positioning of copy must be clearly stated.
- Documents must be prepared to render the artwork and all of its elements at 100% of actual imprint size.
- All vector and/or raster files that are referenced by the page layout document must also be included.
- Include any fonts that were used in the production of the page layout document.
Acceptable Media: Files can be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org. If saved on a USB Flash Drive, CD-ROM or DVD please mail to 10 Pond Place, Oyster Bay, NY 11771. This may cause a delay in your order.
- Files from word processing software such as Word, PowerPoint, Ventura Publishing and Word Perfect, etc.
- Quark Xpress, Adobe PageMaker or files from any other page layout software.
- Any files that do not meet the above requirements.
